Kustbevakningen agerar i en alltmer komplex maritim risk- och hotmiljö med bland annat störningar på samhällsviktiga funktioner, ökade miljörisker, cyberhot och säkerhetsutmaningar. Detta ställer höga krav på myndighetens verksamhet. Nya regeringsuppdrag, ökad budget, fler medarbetare och ett pågående utvecklingsarbete ska göra verksamheten ännu mer effektiv framåt.
